Charting Your OSSD Journey: Essential Requirements and Beyond

 

Are you or your child interested in pursuing a high school education in Canada with the aim of advancing to top-rated universities in the United States, Canada, the UK, or Australia? USCA Academy offers a unique platform through its Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) program.

On successfully completing the diploma, students not only receive the OSSD, but they also get assistance from us for admissions into American or Canadian international universities. Credit requirements for OSSD Canada 

The cornerstone of OSSD requirements is completing 30 high school course credits, comprising 18 compulsory and 12 optional courses. You can view the list of the full requirements for OSSD on this page

Additional requirements for OSSD include one extra credit from three distinct groups that range from the arts to sciences, health, and technological education. Students must also complete 40 hours of community involvement and pass the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT). 

Transferring and counting credits

If you have completed any course certified or approved by the Ontario Ministry of Education, those credits can be transferred and counted as part of the OSSD Ontario program. This feature provides flexibility for students who may have switched schools or educational systems.
